These services enable our clients to create a customized solution that fits their current needs, while allowing the flexibility to add on modules as client requirements change or business grows.POSITION SUMMARYA payroll/service professional with an advanced understanding of payroll practices, Canadian legislation and customer requirements. As a senior member of the COS organization, this role is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining high valued client relationships. The payroll specialist acts as a mentor within the team, and provides guidance and support to other team members. This position plays a pivotal role in orchestrating all of the key components required to support an outsourcing solution. A successful incumbent needs to have strong multi-tasking and organizational skills and is able to work in a fast paced ever changing environment.RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible & fully accountable for the payroll & audit function of multiple mid to highly complex clientsEvaluates programming changes required for clients and partners directly with the programming team to test & implement required changesCoordinates all incoming payroll data for assigned clients in conjunction with the Shared Services teamResponsible for scheduling and running the assigned client payrolls by following standard operating procedures.Maintains complete, accurate and timely client and employee records based on real time requestsMaintains complete and accurate client profile notes as well as processing instructions for each clientResponds to & resolves all incoming telephone calls and/or email inquiries from clients and/or their employees; delivering the highest level of customer service within expected timelinesRecords/updates all employee issues on the Call Management database tracking systemPlan, organize & facilitate regular conference calls and/or attend client visits; execute on client requests; create and maintain action plan &/or issue log until resolution is attained. Prepare internal and external reports as required.Create & manage client communication & their requests; serves as the first point of escalation for their respective clients.Balance respective payrolls based on the COS year end calendar and remit all Third Party Remittances by defined due dates, complete all Year End balancing, filing & respective reportingUtilize all internal tools & defined processes to ensure optimal productivity, service excellence and make recommendations for best practices to customersConduct an annual review of clients payroll set up and processes to identify deficiencies within existing procedures and/or configuration; recommend and implement enhancements to drive productivity, efficiencies, service excellence & full payroll complianceMaintain CPA designation & attend all required departmental training sessions as well demonstrate proficiency in learning.Responsible for training the Shared Services team on the processing of each accountInitiate pre and post production calls with a select group of clientsConsistently look for automation opportunities to maximize operational efficiencyPartner with the New Client Integration team on the set up and transition of new clients and proactive provide weekly status ups to clients where appropriate.
